Shoes We Love: Confessions of a Heel Lover

Posted by Suleika on Wednesday Jun 24, 2009

It’s true, I never wear flats. Not even when I clean the house, grab the mail or go grocery shopping. It’s just not in me. My idea of a comfortable shoe is a wedge.

And it’s a not so dirty little secret that Heels.com sells flats. They are very popular on the Web site but fail to overshadow our beloved heels.

But lately, some flats are beginning to catch my eye. Take for instance the Misana Thong in Dark Tan from Jessica Simpson. I’m in love with the turquoise detail. Who needs jewelry when you’re sporting it on your feet?

The Avery Braided Sandal by Frye is also a fave. This cutesy shoe is perfectly colored for a hot summer day. Avery has a one inch wedge, so I guess this one isn’t a true flat. Sorry… I tried.

I love it! It’s as if I wrote this myself. Just yesterday I commented on all the cute flats I’m seeing and was questioning if I could embrace a flat shoe and my 5′4″ height. Love the Frye sandals and without some sort of heel, I know my feet would hurt!

Great post! I am DEFINITELY a heel girl myself so I can 100% relate to this post. These flats are definitely fabulous enough to make a heel lover think again. Maybe to walk my dog ;)

Of course there are exceptions, but in general, these times all call for heels. However, on a day to day basis, I always think about this issue when I walk out the door. [...]
