Shoes We Love: Summer Wedding Style: Bridesmaid Shoes

Even though being asked to be a Bridesmaid is an honor, we all have a small moment of sheer panic when we realize that we might end up wearing something truly hideous. We have come a long way in wedding party fashion from those unsightly southern belle hoop-skirt nightmares from the 80′s so why shouldn’t our shoes reflect the same progression? Ordering your Bridesmaids shoes at the same establishment you order your dress might be convenient but lets face it; they are seriously lacking in style. And who wants to dye shoes to match your dress (and elbow length gloves, and flowers, and table linens, etc.) to some specific color you probably won’t wear again? These days you can make your own rules and redefine what’s conventional. I’ve seen and heard of lots of Brides letting their wedding party pick their own style of dress and shoes as long as they stay within a particular color scheme. I think this is a perfect way to look cohesive without sacrificing individual personality.
