Heels.com is really excited to announce a new line on the site – we know you’ll love these just as much as we do!

Introducing the Emu line of boots from Emu Australia.

EmuLogo

Ladies, Emu Australia is the real deal. They describe themselves as a “genuine Australian based sheepskin footwear company dedicated to creating premium quality sheepskin footwear and apparel for the global market,” and their boots are made from 100% premium Austrailian sheepskin. One look at their shoes will show you the amount of quality and detail, love and care, that does into every pair of Emu shoes.

The Emu Australia Stinger Hi Boot in Chestnut. Also available in Charcoal. My feet ache for these – just looking at them makes me want a pair!

Their styles look familiar for a reason – Emu Australia boots are ugg boots in the so-called “ugg” style beloved by Australians for years and recently made famous globally by, frankly, a much lesser brand.

The Emu Australia Barossa bootie. Can you imagine anything more comfortable to slip onto your feet after a long day at work? No? We can’t either. You know you want a pair…

We of course couldn’t get through the winter without carrying this fabulous style beloved by comfort-seeking fashionistas everywhere, but we had to find a brand we could be proud of. Emu Australia fits the bill – they are some of the highest quality shoes we have ever seen and we couldn’t be happier to add them to the site. A pair of Emu boots will last you a lifetime.

The Emu Australia Hi Hipper boot in Chocolate. An over the knee ugg boot? Seriously? What a cool idea! Made with the same high quality sheepskin yet with a fashion forward twist we just love.

Happy shoe shopping this winter, and make sure you check out our Emu Australia boots for the warmest, most comfy boots in the shoe universe- I promise!

Shoes We Love: Dolce Vita Josey Boot

Welcome to Hot Heel of the Week, a weekly feature on Heels and the Queen City! Featuring hand-picked favorites from the Heels.com staff every Tuesday. After all, there’s nothing we love more than our own inventory.

I’ve been keeping close track of the shoes that wow us the most as they arrive at Heels.com. We love talking about shoes, and I’ve even been taking notes to keep track of our favorite boots and heels. Rest assured you’re getting these picks straight from the sexy and stylish ladies who work at your favorite site for women’s shoes, Heels.com.

And without further ado… I bring you this week’s Hot Heel, the Dolce Vita Josey Boot.

When it came time to pick the Hot Heel of the Week, this was a no brainer. When our shoe model put it on, we were wowed. Just wowed. We couldn’t stop talking about it. Let me tell you what they are like in person, because a picture just doesn’t do them justice.

The first thing you should know is that these are really, really high quality boots. Dolce Vita heels never disappoint, and these feel like luxury shoes from top to toe thanks to the luxe black leather from which they are made.

The skinny, blocky heel anticipates one of spring’s future trends – the wedge – and looks oh-so-attractive with the folded top.

And speaking of that fold. It’s simply amazing. You could unzip these boots completely – the zipper is fully functional, of course – and the bottom layer is the same attractive, luxe leather as the top layer. That level of detail and care put into part of the shoe you’ll never see? That’s the kind of quality I expect from my favorite shoes.

That’s why we love our shoes and crave only the best for our feet. Dolce Vita puts care and attention into every inch of their shoes, and Josey is a perfect example.

Take a look at this blog post – Monica Rose, fashion stylist, has a picture of them with the zipper slightly undone.

Could you find a more fabulous way to hop on two of this season’s hottest trends – fold-over tops which extend over the heel, and rocker-chic accessories like zippers? I doubt it. I really do. From the luxurious manufacturing to the flawless style, these boots are the epitome of perfection and I crave them like nobody’s business.

Make sure you check out Dolce Vita and DV by Dolce Vita when you’re doing your holiday shopping this weekend.

Shoes We Love: New Heels from DV by Dolce Vita

We just put a big batch of new women’s shoes up on Heels.com, just in time for the holiday shopping season. And let me tell you, this particular batch of shoes is chock full of heels you could fall in love with! The girls at the office were wowed by the utter fabulosity of these shoes – from ballet flats to party heels to sexy boots, there’s something for everyone! Putting them away was so painful. I wanted to keep them out to drool over them for so much longer.

Make sure you’re on our mailing list – you can sign up on the Heels.com homepage. All these shoes will be in this week’s Heels.com email update!

This happened to be a bunch of new shoes from Dolce Vita and DV by Dolce Vita, two lines we absolutely love at Heels.com. Take a look at these sexy heels and just try to tell us there’s nothing for you here!

Whitney Boot by DV by Dolce Vita in Black
Also available in Grey

You can tell just by glancing at this boot that it has an unforgettable look thanks to that tiered shaft lined with two curved zipper accents. Those (fully functional!) zippers give these booties just the right amount of rocker-chic for this season’s must-have style while maintaining a sleek and classic look.

Maren Pump in Dark Silver by DV by Dolce Vita
Also available in Black

These party pumps bring you the must-have style of the season with fierce studs at the toe, while the gently pointed toe and 3/4 inch hidden platform give the front of your foot an attractive blocky shape.

Dina Flat in Blue by DV by Dolce Vita
Also available in Dark Silver and Black

For the flat lovers among us! Dina is one of the more fabulous flats I’ve seen – something about the perfectly pointed toe and studded leather detail at the vamp gives this flat a touch of flair and class. Dina is available in blue, dark pewter silver, and black.

Keep an eye on the Heels.com Facebook page and Heels.com on Twitter, and be sure to join our mailing list for inside information about new shoes because we’re likely to get lots and lots of them as the holiday shopping season ramps up!

Trends We Love: Pony Hair Fabric

Hey shoe lovers! Let’s talk about pony hair. Is this a trend you love? Or do you find yourself confused? I have to ask – I’m not sure what to think, but I’m liking it more and more each day!

Paris HiltonBurke Heel in Zebra Pony
Also available in black pony and leopard pony.

Pony hair fabric has been all over many of our new styles here at Heels.com, from Jessica Simpson heels to Paris Hilton heels to Guess sandals and heels. Often printed with a cute animal pattern, pony hair fabric gives a pair of shoes an interesting and luxe texture. It’s a great way to spice up a shoe without adding too many bells and whistles.

A lot of brands have new fabulous pony hair heels, but Guess in particular stands out as the pony hair and animal print expert. Guess doesn’t just remake a popular shoe in pony hair – they create an entirely new, fabulous shoe guaranteed to suit the texture and style of pony hair.

Check out these super fab shoes featuring zebra pony hair and royal blue accents!

Guess – Nazirra Sandal in Multi Pony
Also available in black, coral, and snakeskin

What a color combination! Black and white accented with jewel-tone royal blue – these shoes are striking and unforgettable in person.

Another favorite pair of Guess shoes – the Erinna D’Orsay sandal.

Guess Erinna 2 Heel in White Multi
Also available in orange multi (really cute! check it out!) and black multi.

So, shoe lovers – what do you think of these heels? Is pony hair here to stay?

Shoes We Love: Naughty Monkey Honey Pump

Welcome to a new feature on Heels in the Queen City, Hot Heel of the Week! Featuring hand-picked favorites from the Heels.com staff every Tuesday. After all, there’s nothing we love more than our own inventory. If only the Heels.com warehouse was my own personal closet… my life would be complete! Mmm. A girl can dream.

Hot Heel of the Week will feature picks from all the Heels in the Queen City bloggers, starting with me, Kait!

My Hot Heels pick of the week is the Naughty Monkey Honey Pump, available in Red & White and Leopard & Black.

WOW! I am just so in love with this snazzy heel. As expected from the funky, fabulous Naughty Monkey line, the Honey Pump hits the mark perfectly between cute and edgy.

Let’s start with the pony hair print on the outside. Honey pump’s spots are cute and small, but have that sexy animal-print edge. A ruffle with buttons at the heel adds another touch of cute, but the fire-red color on the details like the capped toe keeps things smoldering. See what I mean? Honey Pump combines cute with sexy for a fabulously flexible and wearable pump.

I take a lot of orders on the phone, and there has definitely been a lot of interest in these sexy pumps. No wonder we ordered it in leopard and black as well!

Check back next Tuesday for another Hot Heel of the Week!

Style Inspiration: Delicious Fashion

I definitely know what it’s like to want shoes so delicious you could just eat them up.

Kitchen Shoes
Found at the fabulous blog Styletastic.

Would I rather have the shoes or the cupcakes? Umm, how about both?! Here are some equally deliciously adorable shoes:

Rhoda Heel from Kelsi Dagger in Bordo

These pumps are beyond adorable, from the fabulous deep color to the so-cute-you-could-eat-it flower at the side.

Lavish Sandal from Fergie in Bordo

Ruffles at the back of these suede sandals make them truly lavish. I love this suede ruffle trend, which we have seen on party heels from the ever-popular Fiesstaa party sandal by Steve Madden to these sold-out Tai pumps by purveyor of elegance Badgley Miscka.

Shoes We Love: WOW Factor Shoes from Luichiny, L.A.M.B., Betsey Johnson

Sometimes I open up my closet and feel like I have all too many boring shoes. Am I alone in this?! Sure, maybe I can wear a lot of my heels anywhere and match them with all kinds of things, but that usually means they’re unobtrusive and safe in color. A pair of plain brown pumps is effortlessly wearable yet rarely inspires anyone.

I crave shoes that set me apart from a crowd. Shoes that make people stop and ask me, “Where did you get those?!” (Heels.com, of course!) Shoes that put a smile on my face every time I look down. Shoes that keep me thinking, “I’m so glad I’m wearing these heels!!” all throughout the day. Shoes so fabulous that I want to plan my outfits around them.

Some truly amazing heels have come across my desk in recent days, and I certainly keep track of my favorites. I’ve decided to pick out some shoes with a serious “WOW Factor” component to them – cure your closet of the borings and pick up one of these fabulous pairs of heels!

The L.A.M.B. Zed Sandal in Dark Brown.
This is the sandal to end all sandals from the queen of high-quality heels, Gwen Stefani and L.A.M.B. shoes. The dark brown leather straps are of an exceptionally high quality and quite comfortable, and the circular pattern on the front is eye catching and evocative. A recessed platform, typical of L.A.M.B. sandals, and a sky-high heel make these a show-stopping number.

The Betsey Johnson Law Sandal in Black and Red.
Wearing a Little Black Dress to anything soon? Are you really going to put the same pair of black party sandals on? Stop right now and check out these fabulous sandals from Betsey Johnson instead. Betsey Johnson heels never disappoint with fabulous, imaginative designs guaranteed to excite everyone from the experienced shoe lover to the total shoe newbie. I have handled these shoes myself and they are stunning in person – the fit is perfect and the flower detail is adorable.

The Sab Elle Thigh Boot from Luichiny.
Wow. Wow. Wow. These thigh boots are the definition of the term “wow factor”. Just let them sink in and think about the amount of fabulosity you would gain from slipping these bad boys on. Your legs deserve a pair of boots like these. These boots are the kind of fashion statement that will have half our viewers saying, “Eww!” and the other half drooling in anticipation. (And those of you saying, “eww!” Well, I’m sure a small part of you wants these too!) I… I have no more words. I was so lost that when I was describing them, I couldn’t help but start with “wow” in my description.

What about you, shoe lovers? What other fabulous shoes do you have with that elusive wow factor?

Trends We Love: Casual Boots with Heels

Posted by Kait on Friday Nov 6, 2009
See more posts by Kait

You know what I love? A great pair of boots. Especially a great pair of boots I can wear day after day after day. A pair of boots I can walk all over the city in. A pair of boots I can throw on over a nice pair of skinny jeans. A pair of boots that is incredibly comfortable, yet feature enough of a heel that my feet are given a bit of a lift. A 1 or 2 inch heel is perfectly comfortable, and in fact I prefer a low heel to a pair of flats to be quite honest! They are easier to walk in! Tell me I’m not alone in this!

Maybe it’s about the sound. Good shoes should make that “I’m A Woman Wearing Heels!!” sound when you take a step. The size of the heel is irrelevant – I’m not always in the mood to put on 5″ stiletto show-stoppers – but a good pair of boots with a 1 inch or 2 inch heel makes that “Heel Click” sound I love.

Is it wrong that I love the sound of boots so much?! I feel strongly that every pair of boots in my closet should announce their presence with every step regardless of how casual or fancy they are!

The Paris Hilton Ryder boot in brown.
Also available in black.

Personally one of my favorite kinds of boot is the riding-style knee boot – they look fabulous over skinny jeans and can make the most casual outfit look put-together. Knee boots in general have a tendency to pull together any outfit!

We at Heels.com are big fans of Paris Hilton shoes – billionaire style at affordable prices. I think a lot of her shoes are just adorable, and I love the pink soles of course! The blocky heel on this Ryder boot is short enough to be very comfortable, but you’ll look and sound like a boot-loving fashionista walking around in these knee boots.

What could be better than riding boots? Cowboy boots! And my favorite cowboy boot on the site is without question the Silk Boot by BCBG:

The BCBG Silk Boot in Acorn.
Also available in Cuoio and Black.

I can’t express my love for these boots enough. They slouch. The block heel is perfect. It’s high, but not too high. The style is functional, fashionable, and cute. The color is just lovely. BCBG never disappoints, do they?!

In fact, the only thing I don’t like about these boots is that they come in two totally amazing shades of brown (Acorn and Cuoio) and when I get a pair I’ll have to make a seriously tough decision.

Search Heels.com for Riding Boots or Cowboy Boots to see all our wonderful styles! And check out our whole selection of women’s boots while you’re at it – you can always narrow your search down by heel height, color, brand, or size.

Heels.com Insider: Favorite New Shoes!

Posted by Kait on Wednesday Oct 28, 2009
See more posts by Kait

Hi shoe lovers! If you are a Heels.com fan, you probably know that we put lots of new shoes on the website every single week. I don’t know how we keep up with all our new shoes! You can always trust Heels.com to be there for you, picking out only the best of the best to fulfill your shoe desires. :)

One of my jobs at Heels.com involves describing all our new shoes. I get to take a close look at each new pair that comes in the door on its way onto our website, so I end up being pretty familiar with our newest inventory- not just what they look like, but what the shoes themselves are really like, in real life. Whether that sole is soft or firm, whether the heel really *is* that high, whether that boot will stay up or slouch down, how bright that color really is, etc. Those shoes and I are best friends by the end of the week! Sometimes I love them so much that I have trouble taking them off my desk and putting them back into inventory…

Since we just put a bunch more shoes up on the website, I would love to highlight two party heels that really caught my eye.

Prestige by Carlos by Carlos Santana in Bordo :: I was in love with these the moment I took them out of the box. First of all, the color is simply fabulous. It’s a rich jewel tone that words like “purple” and “pink” just don’t do justice to. I love the way Carlos by Carlos Santana describes them: Bordo. These luxe heels are just perfected by the perfect ribbon detail at the vamp. This gives them a fancy, delicate touch that is just amazing. I don’t know if I have a dress in my closet that would match these in Bordo, so I might get them in black (Prestige heel in Grafite) – or I might just shop for a dress to match them. Matching the dress to the shoes – the best way to shop! :)

Extravaganza by N.Y.L.A. in Zebra :: WOW. The picture really doesn’t do these justice. These heels are truly fabulous – the zebra pattern is in a faux fur like fabric, and the beautiful royal blue Mary Jane strap just pops out at you! I am not the only lady in the office who can’t get these party pumps out of her mind. They also come in a slightly less extravagant but equally fabulous black and red.

Shoes We Love: Winter and the Report Meloni

Posted by Kait on Monday Oct 19, 2009
See more posts by Kait

Brrrr! It’s always pretty cold in the Heels.com headquarters, but today it’s especially chilly because the heating is broken! Winter took a while to get to us here in sunny North Carolina, but it is definitely here now. On the other hand, my boss is the best! I walked in and the first thing he said was, “I turned on the heater under your desk so it would be warm.” Isn’t that nice?!!

With the cool weather (and cold workplace!) there’s only one kind of shoe I’m thinking about right now. Boots. Warm and fuzzy boots. And I would like to take a moment to highlight a pair of boots that has not really gotten the rep it deserves:

Report Meloni in Grey
The Report Meloni.

Now, we posted these on the Heels.com Facebook page (are you a fan yet??) and they didn’t exactly get a standing ovation. Our stylish and discerning readers expect links to sexy heels. They were not terribly excited about these furry, flat boots, and I don’t blame them.

But you have to understand – in person, these boots are SO COOL! The pictures just don’t do them justice at all because you miss the most interesting thing about these boots: the many, many different ways they can be worn.

Boots this season are all about flexibility, and we have many pairs of knee boots with cuffs that can be folded down or pulled up. The Report Meloni incorporates this flexibility into a boot that can be attractively worn at least three ways.

See, the outside of the leg of the boot is a soft suede-like fabric and the inside is fuzzy warm fur. You can pull them all the way up (they are VERY attractive this way, and quite warm!), fold them half down, or fold them all the way down. Here is a picture of them half-cuffed:

The Report Meloni can be anything from an attractive suede-like knee boot to a cuffed boot to an Eskimo-style fuzzy boot! The important part is that how you wear them is up to you. If you’re curious, go take a look at the shoes and click on the video link. You can see our shoe model has them on in different ways – I really like them pulled all the way up!

Are you cold today? Well, you should really make room in your closet for a pair of nice fuzzy boots. Personally I think the Report Meloni is a fantastic and flexible option. Do you agree?

Trends We Love: Tiered Skirts

Posted by Kait on Monday Oct 12, 2009
See more posts by Kait

Tiered skirts! One of my absolute favorite trends this fall. I love a nice tiered skirt – there are so many ways to wear them. They are wonderfully versatile, combining girly cute and fashionable chic into one package. They can be worn with longer tops, letting the tiers peek out below to emphasize the length of the waist, or with a belt and a tucked-in blouse for that fashionable chic high-waisted look. Another reason why I love tiered skirts? I can wear one to work and then wear it out at night! (Changing my shoes, of course.) A lot of clothes claim to be this versatile, but we ladies know that most outfits aren’t really work- and party-appropriate. Well, a nice tiered skirt can be chic at work and flirty at night!

Without a doubt, my favorite skirt is this one from Topshop (I found it on Polyvore!):

skirt

WOW! What a lovely skirt! And the nice thing about Polyvore is that you can see all the different outfits people have made with it.

For work, I would personally pair it with a pair of cute black pumps. Boring, you think? Umm, have you SEEN these fabulous Avallon pumps from Harajuku Lovers?!
