Style Inspiration: Delicious Fashion

Posted by Kait on Friday Nov 13, 2009

I definitely know what it’s like to want shoes so delicious you could just eat them up.

Kitchen Shoes
Found at the fabulous blog Styletastic.

Would I rather have the shoes or the cupcakes? Umm, how about both?! Here are some equally deliciously adorable shoes:

Rhoda Heel from Kelsi Dagger in Bordo

These pumps are beyond adorable, from the fabulous deep color to the so-cute-you-could-eat-it flower at the side.

Lavish Sandal from Fergie in Bordo

Ruffles at the back of these suede sandals make them truly lavish. I love this suede ruffle trend, which we have seen on party heels from the ever-popular Fiesstaa party sandal by Steve Madden to these sold-out Tai pumps by purveyor of elegance Badgley Miscka.

Style Inspiration: Wedding Planning 101

Posted by Suleika on Monday Aug 17, 2009

So…I’m getting married in about a month but I’m not your typical Bridezilla. Below I share with you some of my confessions and tips if you want to have a no fuss wedding.

  • First off, I only began planning my wedding a few weeks ago. I figured less time to plan = less stress.
  • I’m keeping it small and personal, about 50 guests.
  • Instead of sending out traditional invitations, I decided to share my news of the big day with an electronic invitation. It’s better for the environment, it allows my guests to reply in a very convenient and fast way (one click) and it was FREE.
  • Your wedding day should reflect who you are and celebrate your relationship. I’ve chosen to let go of the idea of “tradition” for my wedding because I’m not a traditional person. Doing things just because everyone else does it a certain way would not be true to who I am. Do what works for you and who cares what people think! If they don’t like it, they don’t have to be a part of your celebration.
  • Through this process, I’ve enlisted the help of my sister (Maid of Honor) who has been more than helpful in planning my special day. If you’re not hiring a wedding consultant, I highly recommend finding a close friend or relative to help you plan.
  • I’m listening to my soon to be husband who doesn’t want to be bothered about every little detail, like what color linens I selected. Don’t burn out your fiance before the big day with constant chatter about the wedding. He will enjoy it in his own way, don’t take it personal: he’s just not that into it.
  • Finally, enjoy the aspects that mean the most to you. For me, it’s my wedding day fashion. I have selected a unique dress that fits my style perfectly. As for the shoes, one pair just won’t do. Below are my picks for your bridal style inspiration. Happy (wedding day) Heel Hunting!

Last week, dozens of ladies showed up with their most fabulous footwear for the Mojitos and Stilettos event at Chima. You all know that I am an avid ‘heel watcher’ and love to pick out my fave among the crowd.

Cheryl Isley impressed us with her sweet Valentino heels that feature gold leather with a brown and turquoise pattern.

Style Inspiration: Sartorial Inspiration

Posted by Lindsay on Tuesday Sep 16, 2008

I always love looking at The Sartorialist’s photos to get outfit inspirations… some days I don’t love it, but some days his photos just really inspire me.

One of today’s photos was of a woman wearing a camel sweater with neon trim, a white button down, a high waisted patterned skirt, and a fabulous pair of killer heels. While these shoes are pretty high and eye catching, they are actually very neutral in the outfit. Sometimes it takes a picture like this to remind me that a really high heel doesn’t always attract as much attention as I think it does – often I get scared to wear a pair that is too high with a short skirt for fear of looking tarty. This picture proves me otherwise – the woman looks very classy and has the perfect mix in of trends with basics.

And I think that her shoes are some new Report Signature Newbury Platform’s that we will be getting in verrrrry soon but for now you can check them out at Shopbop.
