Without a doubt the sexiest Fall Trend on my list is the Corset look.  I know you may be thinking that this style belongs in the bedroom, but with casual fabrics these pieces won’t make you look like a porn star.

For instance, I came across this fabulous Denim Corset at Charlotte Russe for only $24.  This could match almost anything in my closet!

One hot trend that has been gaining momentum through the warmer weather months is  the Cutout look.  I don’t see this style disappearing anytime soon even as the thermometer drops.  I think it will transition well into more accent pieces so you don’t lose too much body heat.

I found this Tribal Print Lattice Dress at Forever 21 for only $18.90.  Throw it on with a vintage leather jacket and some leggings for a versatile cool weather look.

Star Shoe Styles: Teen Choice Awards Red Carpet Celebrity Shoe Style

Posted by Ellen on Wednesday Aug 11, 2010

The annual Teen Choice Awards were taped this past Sunday night and broadcast on Monday via FOX.  To be very honest, I get a little blase about any thing with the word “teen” in the title so I might not ever admit that I would watch this type of thing, but I still comb over all of the Red Carpet coverage to see what the Celebs are wearing.  As much as I hate to admit it, I was very impressed.

Of course there was a heavy presence of talent from our favorite Twilight saga films becuase New Moon and Eclipse were nominated for almost every category except for Choice TV Reality Villain and Choice Music Country Group.  Our favorite Physic Vegetarian Vampire, Ashley Greene never fails to look absolutely breathtaking and this occasion was no exception.

To pull off Ashley’s flawless look, you will def need a pair of these

Black Platform Peep Toe Roxy Pumps from Paris Hilton

The cute-as-a-button “Wizards of Waverly Place” star, Selena Gomez scooped up 4 TCA’s including Choice Red-Carpet Fashion Icon: Female (I can totally see why). She was looking angelic in all white paired with sexy Nude Sandals.

Courtesy:  Just Jared Jr.

If you wanna look as fierce as Selena, I suggest

Natural Open Toe Stewart Stiletto Booties from Bebe

One of the hottest summer shows this year is ABC Family’s “Pretty Little Liars.”  I must admit, I am addicted to this tennage cheese-fest and it is def one of my guilty pleasures.  Lucy Hale plays the doe-eyed Aria brilliantly as the show won 3 awards including Choice Summer TV Show.

If you wanna score some edgey footwear like Lucy, you have to grab these

Black Open Toe Leather Cooper Booties with Studs and Buckle from DV by Dolce Vita

Gossip Girl” has been a fan favorite since it started back in 2007 and it isn’t loosing any steam with Leighton Meester as Blair Waldorf.  They are currently filming its 4th season that will premiere Monday, September, 13th on the CW.

To achieve Leighton’s botanical feet style, you will need

White Satin Slingback Natural Beauty Pumps with Flower Accent from Unlisted

To be honest, I had no clue who Victoria Justice was when I saw her on the Red Carpet at the Teen Choice Awards, but I immediately feel in love with her shoes.  After a little research, I’ve learned that this cutie is a Nickelodeon starlet and aspiring singer with her own show called “Victorious.”

Let your Wild Side loose like Victoria in these

Leopard Satin Peep Toe Destiny Pumps with Bow by Paris Hilton

With the boys of “Glee” as co-hosts for this years TCA’s, the female cast was on hand to show their support and accept some awards for themselves such as Choice TV Show: Comedy.  Lea Michele was drop-dead stunning in a sequin mini dress and funky wedges.

If you wanna strutt your stuff like Lea, try these

Natural Leather Sky-High Vogul Wedges from L.A.M.B.

As a presenter, Cat Deeley was right at home on stage Sunday evening.  She hosts another favorite show of mine, So You Think You Can Dance, which ends it’s season on Thursday, August 12th.  While sometimes she can sport some crazy stuff, I was plesantly suprised at this sexy white ensemble.

If you wanna vamp it up like Cat, take a look at these

And they did! Foot Petals, the brand known for bringing you shoe accessories like cushioned inserts and non-slip pads, are expanding.

They are set to launch a line of special occasion and bridal shoes next Spring. These cute creations have been designed to include the brand’s patented comfort technology.

Women spend so much time planning their big day, that they sometimes forget about comfort. The creator of Foot Petals, Tina Aldatz, wanted create something that intermingled comfort and style. She is working with designers to place extra padding in the lining and non-slip pads on the soles.

The new collection, featuring 18 styles, was based from Aldatz’s attraction to 1940′s fashion. There are enough styles to please even the most low-key weddings.  From flats and wedges to kitten heels and stilettos. Each style is paired with dainty crystal details and made with dye-able white satin or metallic leathers.

The best part is that prices are very reasonable. The priciest of the line is $129. What a bridal bargain! You can find the brand in Nordstrom, Dillard’s and online at Zappos.com. You know if we carried the line, Zappos would be out of the picture!

Hello Shoe Fans!  A few weekends ago San Diego was flooded with celebrities and fans alike attending the annual Comic-Con International.  This year’s panels were jam-packed with awesome sneak-peaks of all the hottest up-and-coming Movies and TV shows as well as some of our favorite Shoe Style Superstars.

There to talk up her new movie Sucker Punch, Vanessa Hudgens was looking super sexy in a strapless LBD with cut-outs and patterned Heels.

To channel you inner vixen like Vanessa, try these

Multi-Colored Snakeskin Aster Platforms from BCBGirls

The wildly popular (and my fave) HBO show True Blood held a panel as well as autograph sessions at this year’s Con.  Kristin Bauer Van Straten who plays Vampire Pam was on hand and keeping it casual in her jeans and boots paired with a button-down.

If you want to keep it comfy and cool just like Kristin, I recommend these

Pointed Toe Tan Franklin Ankle Cowboy Booties from N.Y.L.A.

Stars from the next Dream Works animated movie Megamind were also in attendance.  Tina Fey lends her voice to “Roxanne Ritchi” in the film to be released nationwide on November 5th.

If you are looking to pull of an elegant & sophisticated vibe like Tina, try these

Lace Covered Stilleto Beam Pumps by Dolce Vita

Without a doubt, one of the biggest Superstars present in San Diego was definitely Angelina Jolie.  Her newest action/adventure/spy thriller Salt opened recently and claimed the top spot at the Box Office.

To pull off this sassy & sexy style just like Angelina, you will need a pair of these

Black Pony Hair Peep Toe Platform Burke Pumps by Paris Hilton

Another starlet of the up-coming Sucker Punch blockbuster is Jena Malone.  She was looking too cute for words walking the Red Carpet in navy tapered-leg slacks, a white sleeveless blouse, and dainty black sandals.

If you wanna strut your stuff like Jena, you have to grab a pair of these

Black Satin Willy Heels with Ankle Strap from Chinese Laundry

Anna Kendrick was also there to promote her new Comic-Inspired film called Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World.  She was looking hip and laid back at EW and SyFy afterparty in her skinny black jeans, graphic print tunic tee, and gladiator sandals.

From fabulous flats to strappy stilettos this time of year when temperatures are on the cusp of changing, footwear is versatile. When celebs step out in ‘it’ styles of the moment, we get plenty of emails from fans wanting to know where they can find these coveted looks. While many of us can’t afford the same shoe styles celebs rock, there’s no need to sink into a fashion depression. Here’s a cheat sheet to some of our favorite Heels.com looks that resemble what some stars are wearing.

Eva Longoria

Bebe Soccorro Heel

This Desperate Housewife looks anything but…in her simple yet sophisticated ensemble. I love the contrast of the blazer to the open toe sandals Eva is wearing. Our version comes from Bebe, with a simple leather strap across the vamp and a super chic metallic stiletto heel. This style is perfect for day or night; casual or dressy.

Brittany Snow

Steve Madden Caryssa Pump

Brittany mellows out her flowery romper with luxe suede pumps and a brown belt. Our pick comes from Steve Madden with a perfect silhouette that features a sky high platform and shiny heel. This nude tone goes with almost anything in your closet and the suede makes it a perfect choice for the upcoming Fall season.

Jessica Biel

Steve Madden Blend

Stars need a break from towering heels, just like us and sometimes a simple ballet flat is just the ticket. Jessica pairs a beige toned style with her business casual attire that offers a feminine flair. Our version from Steve Madden gives you a little edge with a subtle wedge that won’t leave you hanging too low to the ground.

Shoe Tips & Tricks: Tops and Bottoms and Shoes, Oh My!

Posted by Kait on Monday Aug 2, 2010
See more posts by Kait

If you have the closet space to put your shoes and clothes in the same closet, may I suggest a little organization. I was totally inspired by this picture to help all you lovely ladies get your wardrobes organized.

Photo Courtesy: Ruthie Davis’ Shoe Closet

If we could be so lucky as to have our very own shoe closet a la Carrie Bradshaw! For those of you who are, I’m totally jealous! For the rest of us, here are some tips to help clean out your closet, display your goodies and re-organize.

First things first. Look through your closet and pull out pieces that you haven’t worn in a year. I know it’s hard. I have had to part with some of my favorite ideas. If minor alterations need to be made to make an item more wearable, fine, but if not, get rid of it! A year is a year. That’s 12 months, 52 weeks or 365 days that you haven’t given a second thought too. Crazy, right?!

After you’re cleaning nightmare is done, you can move on to making your space beautiful. I get really excited after I’ve completed a tedious task and the outcome is better than I had anticipated. I’m a bit O.C.D, so organizing is somewhat of a drug to me. Anyway, back to putting your closet back together. It is key to organize by category( blouses, skirts, pants, dresses, etc.) and color. It will take a couple hours to do, but you won’t have to battle through your clothes to find that one thing that’s missing.

Enough about clothes, lets get to the shoes!

You’ll want to clean up your shoe collection as well. Get rid of any shoes that you are willing to part with. Now on to the fun part…

“If you can’t see them, you won’t wear them,” is a good rule of thumb to follow. Stack your shoes in clear plastic boxes or arrange your favorites on a cedar shoe shelf or hang them over the door in a canvas shoe bag. It’s helpful to keep everyday shoes, evening shoes and athletic shoes separated. For shoes that you don’t wear too often, like evening shoes, keep them on the top shelf of the closet. if you live in a place with distinct seasons, you may want to consider storing out of season footwear out-of-sight until it’s needed.
