Hi Shoe Fans!  Are you ready for some more dance inspired shoe fashion?  Let’s take a look at three more examples.

The Waltz is one of the most recognizable Classical Ballroom styles.  With it’s sweeping movements, closed hold position, and easy to count 3/4 time signature it is the epitome of elegance.  Like other Classical Ballroom styles, most dancers wear closed toe pump shoes like these.

White Satin Very Fine Shoes Standard/Smooth- Competitive Dancer CD5027M

Keep the Spring in your step outside the dance studio in these.

Black Satin Closed Toe Carlo Heel Pumps from Badgley Mischka

One of my new favorite Sunday night shows is “Boardwalk Empire.”  Watching all of the gorgeous flapper fashions from the 1920′s makes me wanna do the Charleston.  If you get the urge to bust a vintage dance move a’la the Roaring 20′s I recommend these.

Black Leather Very Fine Shoes Standard/Smooth- C Series C6819

Keep your Speakeasy Spirit going strong today with these.

Wine Patent Leather T-Strap Glaze Maryjane Heels from Me Too

There is no denying that the sexy Latin Ballroom dances are a great way to burn calories.  The passionate fire of the Salsa is so entertaining to watch and even more fun to actually do.  If this sounds like your idea of a good time, you will need some dance shoes like these.

Black Leather Capezio Sofia 2.5 (BR 24)

Keep that Salsa Sizzle in your everyday look with these.

Black Satin Strappy Willy Heels from Chinese Laundry

I love watching awards shows and finding alternatives to expensive Celebrity shoe fashions.  This was no easy task during the 62nd Annual Primetime Emmy Awards that aired on Sunday evening.  Why you ask … because most everyone was wearing long dresses that completely hid their shoes.

For all we know, Claire Danes could have been wearing Harley Davidson Steel Toe Motorcycle Boots under her Armani Prive sequined ball gown.  Probably not but still;  Here are some amazing shoe styles that I did manage to spot on the Red Carpet.

Dancing with the Stars Co-Host Brooke Burke was simply stunning in her white strapless Mark Zunino dress with Chopard Diamonds;  The perfect compliment to the dainty sparkle on her feet.

To channel your inner bombshell like Brooke, try these

Silver Thin-Strapped Juliette Rhinestone Sandals from Betsey Johnson

Even though I personally think this look is a train-wreck, Lauren Graham did have some pretty cool footwear.  I am digging the gladiator-like shoe vibe that the Modern Family star is sporting.  It is pretty much the only think I like about this photo.

If you wanna strut your stuff like Lauren, I suggest these

Black Leather Strappy Dominica Sandals with Metallic Heel from L.A.M.B

While her hit TV Show The Vampire Diaries wasn’t nominated for any awards, Nina Dobrev was part of the opening “Glee-Inspired” musical number.  It has reached a record number of views on the Internet in just a few short days following the Emmy ceremony.

To score some sweet feet style like Nina, check out these

Ivory Satin Open Toe Slingback Xulia Heels with Jewel Accent by Badgley Mischka

Without a doubt the most jaw-dropping dress (napkin, handkerchief, wash cloth, etc) of the evening was worn by Heidi Klum.  I’m not entirely sure she could have climbed the steps to accept the award that Project Runway was nominated for if they had won.  Nonetheless, I love the sparkles though.

If you want to walk on the wild side like Heidi, you have to get your hands on these

Black Glitter Pointed Toe Carrielee Pumps from Guess

CSI:  Miami Star Eva La Rue was definitely on trend for the evening with another white Grecian style gown with a super high slit.  Her metallic shoes add just the right amount of glitz.

Hello Shoe Fans!  A few weekends ago San Diego was flooded with celebrities and fans alike attending the annual Comic-Con International.  This year’s panels were jam-packed with awesome sneak-peaks of all the hottest up-and-coming Movies and TV shows as well as some of our favorite Shoe Style Superstars.

There to talk up her new movie Sucker Punch, Vanessa Hudgens was looking super sexy in a strapless LBD with cut-outs and patterned Heels.

To channel you inner vixen like Vanessa, try these

Multi-Colored Snakeskin Aster Platforms from BCBGirls

The wildly popular (and my fave) HBO show True Blood held a panel as well as autograph sessions at this year’s Con.  Kristin Bauer Van Straten who plays Vampire Pam was on hand and keeping it casual in her jeans and boots paired with a button-down.

If you want to keep it comfy and cool just like Kristin, I recommend these

Pointed Toe Tan Franklin Ankle Cowboy Booties from N.Y.L.A.

Stars from the next Dream Works animated movie Megamind were also in attendance.  Tina Fey lends her voice to “Roxanne Ritchi” in the film to be released nationwide on November 5th.

If you are looking to pull of an elegant & sophisticated vibe like Tina, try these

Lace Covered Stilleto Beam Pumps by Dolce Vita

Without a doubt, one of the biggest Superstars present in San Diego was definitely Angelina Jolie.  Her newest action/adventure/spy thriller Salt opened recently and claimed the top spot at the Box Office.

To pull off this sassy & sexy style just like Angelina, you will need a pair of these

Black Pony Hair Peep Toe Platform Burke Pumps by Paris Hilton

Another starlet of the up-coming Sucker Punch blockbuster is Jena Malone.  She was looking too cute for words walking the Red Carpet in navy tapered-leg slacks, a white sleeveless blouse, and dainty black sandals.

If you wanna strut your stuff like Jena, you have to grab a pair of these

Black Satin Willy Heels with Ankle Strap from Chinese Laundry

Anna Kendrick was also there to promote her new Comic-Inspired film called Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World.  She was looking hip and laid back at EW and SyFy afterparty in her skinny black jeans, graphic print tunic tee, and gladiator sandals.

If you wanna rock this trendy style,  I suggest these

Celebrities are always ahead of the trends and many look “put together” even when they’re not trying to thanks to their stylists. Well, if you don’t have a personal stylist or megabucks to spend on uber expensive shoe styles, here’s your cheat sheet for how to look like your favorite stars.

Gwen Stefani

L.A.M.B. Zed in Dark Brown

Gwenie always looks effortlessly chic and fabulous especially when she’s spotted wearing styles from her own line of Shoes, L.A.M.B. The Zed is a lustworthy and a bright addition to any hum drum outfit. Unfortunatley, we are sold out in the nude version Gwen is wearing but you can still get your kicks with the dark brown version of this beauty. And P.S. The brown is more fit for the upcoming Fall season.

Demi Lovato

Bebe Stewart Heel

Demi shows us edgy doesn’t have to be trashy and these booties are a cut above the rest. Our version comes from Bebe, the brand that brings us sky high stilettos that add spice to your style. Stewart brings us the same open toe silhouette and with an added bonus: chains.

Rebecca Romijn

Badgley Mischka Xango Heel

Rebecca always brings out her most sultry foot forward on the red carpet with dazzling, body-hugging dresses and demure shoes. Our version of this swoon-worthy style is the Xango This d’orsay is made from rich, black stain and the tulle petals offer a beautiful detail that won’t go unnoticed. Happy Heel Hunting!

Shoes We Love: Summer Wedding Style: Catch the Bouquet Shoes

Love it or hate it, one tradition that rarely escapes any wedding reception is the Bouquet Toss.  While some of us would rather hide in the bathroom than be dragged to the center of the dance floor to be paraded in front of an entire guest list as “Single,” others of us with a secret (or not so secret) competitive edge relish this moment.

Whether you are fierce in the front of the pack ready to elbow any other lady that gets in your way or you just want to look cute and coy while you stand in the back and pretend you don’t want to catch anything;  we’ve got something for everyone.

If you want some floral inspiration on your feet to match what you catch in your hands, you must consider these:

Ivory Satin Corrine Sandals with Fabric Petals by Martinez Valero

If you are looking to put some bling and spring into your step, you have to grab these:

Metallic Pink Jonas T-Srtaps with Rhinestones & a Satin Bow by Betsey Johnson

Shoes We Love: Summer Wedding Style: Bridal Shoes

Hey there shoe Fans!  Time has flown by so quickly this Spring that I didn’t realize until last week that we are in full-blown Summer wedding season.  It snuck up on me super fast but there is no ignoring all the wedding photo albums going up on Facebook this time of year.  I feel like I have seen at least seven from these first two weekends in June.

I know some people think weddings are a drag but I can always find the silver lining for every occasion.  What’s better than free food and plenty of drinks with your besties at a breathtaking location?  Dressing up and mingling with the other fabulous guests?  Free Wedding favors?  Catching the bouquet (like I did at my Big Sorority Sister’s Nuptials)?!

So if you are getting married; participating as a bridesmaid in your BFF’s wedding, or if you’re attending weddings every weekend until September, I’ve picked out some incredible styles for any and every situation that I’ll feature in a series of posts.

First up are my picks for the Bride, of course.  Whether you are super traditional or you like to keep it unique, we have something to suit everyone.  If you’re looking for something that is conservative and comfortable, but certainly not boring, I highly recommend:

Jewelled Ivory Satin Pointed Toe April Pumps by Martinez Valero

If your taste is a little more flirty and feminine, you have to get these:

White Satin Badgley Mischka Raquel Sandals with a fabric flower accent

Lots of Brides these days love to wear a pop of color on their feet.  If you are one of them, you have to consider these:

The Academy Award nominated Anna Kendrick is not only presenting, but she is also up for a golden popcorn trophy for her work in “Up In The Air” as Best Breakout Star. But let’s not forget her supporting role in the ever popular Twilight saga films as the sometimes annoying and always talkative human high-schooler, Jessica.

Shoe Tips & Tricks: Feng Shui for your Shoes!

Posted by Kait on Thursday Jan 7, 2010

I know what you must be thinking, but take a minute to process the idea. Think about it, your cluttered closet could have a direct impact on your everyday life.

The color and style of the shoe can put you in a different mood.

Incorporating fashion into feng shui does not depend on the type of person you are, but the person you would like to be. For instance, if you are looking for attention, choose a RED pair of shoes.

Feng Shoe Basics…

Wood Energy: Tends to come from comfortable, yet ugly shoes. The energy comes from a wooden or cork sole. DON”T wear these shoes on a cobblestone street. DO wear them on muddy, rural paths.

Charles David Tiki Wedge

Fire Energy: These shoes are dressy or the latest in fashion. Fire energy enhances sexiness and creativity and are made of satin. Wear these shoes if you have an important business meeting. Don’t wear them on a first date!

Badgley Mischka Randee Pink Satin

Earth Energy: Represented by shoes we wear on daily basis, earth energy calms and renews the spirit. This energy is found in shoes made of cotton, leather or other natural fabrics. Use these shoes as your go-to pair.

Metal Energy: Gives the wearer strength and is powerful. Best used at embellishments like buckles or studs. Be sparing with metal. The energy will sound like a heavy metal concert.

Shoe Styles…

DRESS SHOES are important because they are the epitomy of female energy which is desinged to attract male energy. If made with the right materials and colors, these shoes can be very powerful.

WHITE is the blending of all colors int he spectrum and should only be used when the plantes are all aligned, like a June wedding.

Badgley Mischka Randall White Satin

BLACK is the absence of all colors and is said to attract all types of energy. Without color to distract the flow of energy, the flow is unfiltered. You should own multiple pairs of black shoes.

Harajuku Lovers Dobson Black

Harajuku Lovers Davenport Black

Use RED to attract men and their fiery energy. Males are drawn to bright, shiny things. Like moths to a light. Red shoes can have the same effect even when tucked under a bar! When wearing red shoes, you are almost certain to have a good day or night.

Still looking for that perfect pair of shoes for a party this January – or this New Year’s Eve? Heels.com and the party footwear experts at Badgley Mischka have you covered from heel to toe.

Heels.com carries a lot of fabulous party heels, crazy boots, and all sorts of shoes ranging from the casual to the memorably fabulous. What sets Badgley Mischka apart? I can tell you what I thought when I began to work at Heels.com: quality. Every stitch of these shoes oozes quality and expensive, luxe manufacturing.

Randee heel by Badgey Mischka in Pink satin

From the moment you take the shoes out of the box and you are presented with a soft cream colored bag, you know you are treating your feet to something truly special. Badgley Mischka shoes look and feel like hours of love and care have gone into each and every pair, from the satin uppers to leather soles and balances, and that’s the kind of treatment I like to give my feet when I’m wearing a really fabulous dress.

I wanted to feature Badgley Mischka this week because we just put several new styles on the website, and I absolutely adore them. I have already linked you to them in pink; here they are in gold:

Randee heel by Badgley Mischka in Gold Satin. Also available in black, pink, and white.

These Randee heels are exquisite, stylish, and effortlessly adorable. The T strap gives them a “now” feel, as does the small recessed and satin-covered platform. The highlight of these heels is certainly the three flower-like cloth details at the T strap which swirl and flutter attractively with every movement of your feet.

I was absolutely fascinated by these shoes when they came across my desk, in all four colors (black, pink, white, and gold). The flower-like details really have to be seen (and worn!) to be believed. Badgley Mischka really hit the nail on the head with these- they are fabulous and I crave a pair! Now… what color?

Randall heel by Badgley Mischka in white. Also available in black and silver.

The Randall pump is a similar shoe featuring a single flowery detail at the vamp and a covered heel cup for a pump-like sandal look.

Badgley Mischka fancy heels are dependably classic and classy in form. On the other hand, they often incorporate stylish little touches that make their heels suitable for any fancy occasion yet impossible to forget. These new shoes from Badgley Mischka are no exception, and surpass even our expectations from this Heels.com favorite brand. If you’re shopping for any fancy event, you owe it to your feet to give our Badgley Mischka heels a look!

Style Inspiration: Wedding Planning 101

Posted by Suleika on Monday Aug 17, 2009

So…I’m getting married in about a month but I’m not your typical Bridezilla. Below I share with you some of my confessions and tips if you want to have a no fuss wedding.

  • First off, I only began planning my wedding a few weeks ago. I figured less time to plan = less stress.
  • I’m keeping it small and personal, about 50 guests.
  • Instead of sending out traditional invitations, I decided to share my news of the big day with an electronic invitation. It’s better for the environment, it allows my guests to reply in a very convenient and fast way (one click) and it was FREE.
  • Your wedding day should reflect who you are and celebrate your relationship. I’ve chosen to let go of the idea of “tradition” for my wedding because I’m not a traditional person. Doing things just because everyone else does it a certain way would not be true to who I am. Do what works for you and who cares what people think! If they don’t like it, they don’t have to be a part of your celebration.
  • Through this process, I’ve enlisted the help of my sister (Maid of Honor) who has been more than helpful in planning my special day. If you’re not hiring a wedding consultant, I highly recommend finding a close friend or relative to help you plan.
  • I’m listening to my soon to be husband who doesn’t want to be bothered about every little detail, like what color linens I selected. Don’t burn out your fiance before the big day with constant chatter about the wedding. He will enjoy it in his own way, don’t take it personal: he’s just not that into it.
  • Finally, enjoy the aspects that mean the most to you. For me, it’s my wedding day fashion. I have selected a unique dress that fits my style perfectly. As for the shoes, one pair just won’t do. Below are my picks for your bridal style inspiration. Happy (wedding day) Heel Hunting!

If you’re a bride to be, no doubt you’ve already started planning the wedding. For me, the most important choice isn’t the dress or location but the shoes.

I’m not a traditional bride that’s for sure, I just don’t believe in the whole “let’s do a wedding this way because this is how everyone else does it” scenario. So I selected a few styles for those rebel brides out there, I hope these inspire you to celebrate your special day in a way that’s true to yourself. Happy Heel Hunting!
